Recently Remodeled and Designed

The Thorncreek Golf Course has been recently redone in a links style design. The “links style” golf course is the oldest kind of design. Originally from Scotland, it contains rolling hills and sand dunes and open grassy areas. There is a subdivision that runs alongside the course and the first nine holes are separated by a street from the last nine holes. Links courses will often have an inward nine in one direction and an outward nine holes in the other direction challenging the golf players to deal with wind direction and other conditions. Successful links style players control the trajectory of their golf ball by hitting the ball low in-flight according to the winds.
